ZITROTEK (AZITHROMYCIN), generic ZITHROMAX is a prescription medicine used to treat mild to moderate infections caused by designated, susceptible bacteria, such as chest infections (including pneumonia). AZITHROMYCIN works by stopping the growth of bacteria. AZITHROMYCIN antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. AZITHROMYCIN will not work for viral infections (such as the common cold, or flu). ZITROTEK is manufactured by PFIZER Pharma LTD. in TURKEY.
AZITHROMYCIN has to take orally once a day with or without food.
