Rozy (Drospirenone + Estradiol), Generic ANGELIQ is a prescription medicine used to treat Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for the treatment of Climacteric syndrome in postmenopausal women including vasomotor symptoms such as hot flushes and sweating attacks, sleep disorders, depressed moods, nervousness and atrophic, urogenital conditions caused by deficient endogenous estrogen production due to natural menopause, hypogonadism, castration or primary ovarian failure in women with an intact uterus. Drospirenone + Estradiol is also used to prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis. Hormone therapy can ease symptoms like hot flashes and dryness. Estradiol is the strongest estrogen that binds to receptors. It affects organs like uterus, brain, vagina, breast, and bones. Other effects: Estrogens lower insulin and sugar, affect blood vessels, and enhance liver lipids. Receptors are in heart and arteries. Oral estrogens can help some with high cholesterol. Drospirenone + Estradiol has to take orally once daily with or without food.
