Indication & Dosage :
Elipta (Linagliptin + Empagliflozin), generic GLYXAMBI is a prescription medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus that helps control blood sugar levels in adults. Linagliptin + Empagliflozin is used alone or with other drugs, depending on the patient’s condition. Linagliptin + Empagliflozin can be used as monotherapy for patients who can not take metformin due to intolerance or kidney problems, and who do not respond well to diet and exercise. Linagliptin + Empagliflozin can also be used in combination with metformin, a sulfonylurea, or insulin, with or without metformin, for patients who need more than one drug to achieve adequate blood sugar control. Linagliptin + Empagliflozin has to take orally once daily with or without food.
