Denomab (Denosumab), Generic Prolia is a prescription medicine used to treat bone complications in patients with multiple myeloma or metastatic cancers. Denosumab indicated for treating hypercalcemia of malignancy and may be used in adults and adolescents with mature skeletal development for treating unresectable giant cell tumor of bone. By targeting RANKL (Receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-Β ligand), Denosumab inhibits osteoclast activity, reducing bone resorption and enhancing bone density and strength. Denomab is manufactured by Healthcare Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh.
Denosumab medication is given by injection into a vein by a health care professional. Denosumab medication is given by injection under your skin in the upper arm, upper thigh, or abdomen by a healthcare professional as directed by your doctor, usually every 4 weeks. If you are using this medication to treat giant cell tumor of the bone or high blood calcium levels, your doctor may also direct you to receive additional doses once a week during weeks 2 and 3 of the first month of treatment. Dosage is based on Patient`s medical condition, body size, and response to treatment.
