Indication & Dosage :
Ajuben (Deutetrabenazine), generic Austedo is a prescription medicine used to treat of chorea associated with Huntington’s disease and for the treatment of tardive dyskinesia (TD) in adults. By inhibiting VMAT2, it decreases dopamine release in the brain, helping to reduce involuntary, excessive, or abnormal movements caused by these conditions. It does not cure the underlying neurological disorders but helps control their movement symptoms. Ajuben manufactured by Incepta Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh.
Deutetrabenazine has to take orally once daily with food.
Side Effects :
The most common adverse reactions are:
Somnolence (drowsiness), Dry mouth, Diarrhea, Fatigue, Insomnia, Nausea, Headache.
