Indication & Dosage :
LuciFida (Fidaxomicin), generic Dificid is a prescription medicine used to treat severe intestinal conditions (C. difficile-associated diarrhea) due to a certain type of bacteria. This condition may rarely occur after taking antibiotics. Fidaxomicin is known as a macrolide antibiotic. To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of Fidaxomicin and other antibacterial drugs, Fidaxomicin should be used only to treat infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by C. difficile. Fidaxomicin should only be used to treat this type of intestinal bacterial infection. LuciFida is manufactured by Lucius Pharma Ltd. In Laos.
Fidaxomicin has to take Orally with or without food usually twice daily.
